Blumhouse of Horrors in LA Thrills with the Help of VenueMagicEntertainment Services Group, a manufacturer of show control systems, announces the deployment of its popular VenueMagic show control software platform at the Blumhouse of Horrors in Los Angeles, California. Conceived by the producers of terrifying films like Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and Sinister, the Blumhouse of Horrors dazzled thrill-seekers with a world of terrifying fun as they explored the corridors of the possessed theatre. Controlling the experience and coordinating Blumhouse's many surprises and thrills is VenueMagic, the show control software that easily connects your audio, video, lighting, and animatronics into a cohesive experience. "VenueMagic is the backbone of the Blumhouse of Horrors experience," enthusiastically explains Robyn Burns, president of EtherealFX and chief consultant for the Blumhouse project. "We have a lot going on under-the-hood and VenueMagic seamlessly integrates all of our hardware and enables us to command Blumhouse's experience from a single PC." The Blumhouse of Horrors in Los Angeles used VenueMagic to control all of its 21 areas simultaneously with 48 channels of audio. Many rooms had actors using triggers, sending signals in real time to VenueMagic in addition to its pre-programmed show. "Haunted houses hold a special place in our hearts and we really love seeing VenueMagic implemented in these thrilling and creative environments," says Ben Holmes, vice president of operations for Entertainment Services Group. "But VenueMagic is equally at home for use with live performers, visual artists, production houses, museums, houses of worship, and a variety of other applications."
