ADJ to Showcase Six Exciting New Moving Head Luminaires at PLASA 2019 The world-renowned PLASA Show in London, England, is the key exhibition for the UK entertainment technology market and the ideal place to showcase new products. ADJ will use this year's show to demonstrate the latest additions to its range of professional moving head luminaires; these include beam, wash, and hybrid fixtures as well as the much-anticipated Hydro Series of IP65-rated models. Visit ADJ at stand H38. ADJ's Hydro Series brings the advantages of weatherproof IP65-rated enclosures to the broad mid-market of the entertainment technology industry. Ideal for rental houses, tours, and production companies, as well as permanent installation, the Hydro Series fixtures can be used outside in any weather. Their sealed casing design also means that, even if the fixtures are used indoors, their optics are protected from dust, dirt, and humidity, resulting in an extended operational life and reduced maintenance requirement. The flagship of the Hydro Series is the Hydro Beam X2, an extremely bright and feature-packed luminaire. Through a combination of precision-engineered optics and a potent Osram Sirius HRI 370W LL (long life) discharge lamp, the fixture generates a razor-sharp 3-degree beam that can be customized using a wide variety of beam manipulation tools to provide lighting designers with a high level of creative freedom. These include a 14-position color wheel (including both 3,200K and 5,600K CTO filters), 10 replaceable rotating gobos plus two fixed beam reducers, two multi-faceted rotating prisms with layering feature, and an independent frost filter. The second fixture in the new series, the Hydro Beam X1, is a compact yet potent moving head powered by an Osram Sirius HRI 100W discharge lamp. Combined with exceptional optics and a tight 3-degree beam angle, this allows the fixture to generate an extremely powerful beam that travels over a long distance and is capable of creating a wide variety of stunning midair effects. Despite its small size, the X1 packs in plenty of beam-shaping features. Its color wheel offers a diverse selection of 14 color options, including UV and a CTB color correction filter, plus open white. A second wheel is loaded with a varied selection of 15 gobo patterns plus open, which include four beam reducers, and the versatile fixture also features a 16-facet rotating circular prism. The final model in the Hydro Series to date is the new Hydro Wash X7 a powerful LED wash fixture. With a compact footprint allowing for agile movement, this professional IP65-rated unit utilizes the power of seven Osram 40W RGBW (four-in-one) LEDs to generate a potent wash of colored light. Each LED can be controlled individually, allowing for the creation of "eye-candy" effects as well as integration into a larger pixel-mapped display. The fixture also boasts a motorized zoom function with an impressive range of 6- to 40-degrees, allowing for both tight beams and broad washes. Also on display will be the latest addition to ADJ's popular Focus Series of compact, yet powerful, professional moving head luminaires. The new Focus Beam LED is the first dedicated beam fixture to be introduced to the range and features an 80W cool white LED engine combined with an advanced optical system that allow it to generate an extremely impressive output. The unit has a narrow 5-degree beam angle making it ideal for creating mid-air beam effects in nightclubs and on concert stages. It offers an extensive feature set -- including motorized focus, 15 gobos plus open, 13 colors plus open, 0-100% linear frost filter, USB firmware update port and two indexed rotating prisms (six-facet linear and eight-facet circular), making it a versatile tool for creative lighting designers. ADJ's PLASA stand will also feature the new Vizi Wash Z19, a 380W professional moving head wash fixture powered by 19 20W four-in-one RGBW LEDs. The LEDs are arranged in seven independently-controllable zones and positioned behind a precision-engineered lens array which generates a uniform wash and removes color shadows. Offering motorized zoom (for a beam angle of between 10- and 60-degrees), the versatile fixture can be used both to wash large areas and to create tight mid-air beam effects. Finally, building on the success of ADJ's popular Vizi Hybrid 16RX, the new Vizi CMY 16RX is a true hybrid moving head that functions interchangeably as a spot, beam, or wash fixture. It features full CMY color mixing, allowing lighting designers the creative freedom to select the exact hue they require to achieve any desired look or effect. Powered by the revolutionary Philips Platinum 16R MSD light-source, a 330W unit with an output comparable to a 575W standard discharge lamp, the Vizi CMY 16RX offers a flat, even spot field and incredible color saturation. Loaded with features -- including two separate gobo wheels, motorized zoom and focus, two rotating prisms (six-facet linear and eight-facet circular) and a frost filter -- this luminaire is an ideal workhorse for touring productions, venue installations, and full-service production companies. "PLASA remains the most important trade exhibition for our industry in the UK," comments ADJ UK's national sales and marketing manager, Kris Dawber. "This year we are looking forward to using our stand to showcase the latest additions to our moving head range including the highly-anticipated Hydro Series. These powerful, feature-packed and reliable fixtures bring IP65-rated moving heads within the reach of a huge number of production companies and installers working on projects with budgets that up until now would not have allowed for the use of such fixtures. We are looking forward to demonstrating the Hydro Series, as well as the other recent additions to our product range, to both new and existing customers visiting the show." PLASA 2019 will take place at the Olympia exhibition hall in London from Sunday to Tuesday, September 15 - 17. ADJ will be exhibiting on stand H38 where members of the ADJ team from the UK, European, and US offices will be on hand to offer demonstrations and answer questions.
