Madison-Based Full Compass Provides Hands-On Involvement with Annual Opera in the Park EventThe city of Madison, Wisconsin is extremely fortunate to have an annual tradition known as Madison's Opera in the Park, and to have the support of Jonathan and Susan Lipp from Full Compass. Jonathan, Full Compass founder and CEO, and Susan, chairman of the board, are both involved annually in this event and ensure it is a stellar production with sound quality second to none. 2019 was the 18th year of this summer tradition. It should be no surprise to anyone that music is important to the Lipps and the couple gets involved in this event in a hands-on way - Lipp himself served as lead sound engineer and he, along with the Full Compass Rentals team, selected, supplied, and set up much of the audio gear. He understands that for an expansive outdoor production featuring some of the world's finest singers and musicians, the right equipment and mix are essential to capturing and reproducing the full dynamic range of the performance. The result is the achievement of truly powerful, immersive sound -- an essential ingredient that makes Opera in the Park a success. This year, Full Compass supplied equipment from Sennheiser and Yamaha, as well as a public address system and delay system from Bag End. Specifically, a Yamaha QL5 mixer with Rio Stage box was used at the event, along with Sennheiser wireless microphones. Behind the boards, Lipp was assisted by his grandson, Jake Lipp, as well as Henry Heine from Bag End. The Madison Opera Chorus and Madison Symphony Orchestra shared their favorite opera and Broadway music theater numbers on Sunday, July 21st to an expected crowd of more than 15,000 patrons. This unique event is known as an amazing opportunity for Madison's residents to come together to enjoy the talent of the glorious singers and musicians from the state capital.
