Robe's iBOLT Approved + Available in North America Robe's award-winning iBOLT has been approved by authorities for use in the US and is now available for the North American market. iBOLT utilizes a potent laser light source and is action-packed with Robe as the result of six new patented solutions protecting this technology and ensuring safe operation for the game-changing luminaire which can produce high-impact beams and effects for any event and occasion-both indoors and outdoors. The product will play a major role in Robe's Fifth Dimension live expo performance concept and presentation staged at LDI 2024, the Live Design International expo in Las Vegas, December 8 - 10, on Booth #2258. The iBOLT's LSW-5 white laser phosphor light source produces massively potent beams of light for optimum performance and reach. These are combined with the latest Searchlight and Skyflower technologies, plus extremely low power consumption, weight, and a compact size. The product has the same feature set as Robe's MegaPointe, and can be a beam, spot, wash, and an effects luminaire for stage and outdoor use. Front lens precision optics create high-definition beams that are adjustable via a 0.4 - 8.50-degree zoom; SpektraBeam is a patented effects engine for producing transformative lighting experiences; and there is a CMY + color wheel with DataSwatch library that unlocks a vast, array of colors. The complete iBOLT effects package includes gobo wheels, patented MLP stackable multi-level prisms, and continuous PAN rotation. ScanGuard is a patent-pending continuous safety monitoring feature with auto-cut to prevent direct source viewing -- automatically cutting off should objects be in the beam path -- to deal with the most challenging exterior environmental conditions. The fixture also benefits from Robe's patented POLAR+, EMS, and RAINS IP protection technologies. iBOLTS have been in action on some high-profile events this summer, including the European leg of AC/DC's Power Up Tour with lighting created by Terry Cook, lighting designer and partner in Woodroffe Bassett Design, operated on the road by lighting director Charlie "Cosmo" Wilson.
