PLASA's Members' Choice Product Awards at LDI2015Nominations are now being accepted for PLASA's Members' Choice Product Awards held during LDI2015. These awards, voted on by all PLASA members attending the LDI2015 show, recognize outstanding new entertainment technology products. Awards are bestowed in three categories: • Expendable: product which is designed to be consumed or replaced frequently,
• Gadget: product that is physically small enough to fit in a pocket or small backpack, or software with a file size no larger than 100 megabytes, or,
• Equipment: product that is physically too large to fit in a pocket or small backpack, or software with a file size larger than 100 megabytes. For a product to be eligible, it must have been introduced to the market after the 2014 LDI show, and must be deliverable at the time of LDI2015 show. To nominate a product, the exhibitor must be a PLASA member exhibiting at the 2015 LDI show. Exhibitors decide which of their product (or products) will be candidates for the awards. There is a maximum of one entry per exhibitor in each of the three product categories. Only one nomination is accepted, and this must come directly from the manufacturer or exclusive distributor. All nominations must be received by PLASA by September 8th. Nominations received before August 27th will be listed in the Fall issue of Protocol, the journal of PLASA. Winners of the PLASA Members' Choice Product Awards will be announced at the LDI Awards presentation Saturday, October 24, held at the closing of the trade show floor.
