RML Illuminates Blue Peter with the Clay Paky B-EYEsThe children's program, Blue Peter, is one of the longest running shows in television history. Richard Martin Lighting (RML) is lucky enough to have been involved in the show for a long time now and continue to support lighting designer Lee Allen, who is influential in the studios and TV world. He is so interested in products, technical trends, and the latest innovation, that it is a great sign when he is super keen to try a new fixture on one of his shows. Recently RML announced the purchase of the new Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K20. The K20 is a new wash light, a beam light, and a creator of completely new visual effects. Its versatility makes it an interesting creative tool for all lighting designers. What makes it really different is a completely new feature: the front lens may be rotated to create lots of small bright compositions, which may be opened and closed like petals. By adding colors and dynamic graphics, the company says the B-EYE generates never-seen-before graphic light effects. Blue Peter was one of the first RML shows for the B-EYE's. When asked about his experience so far with the units Allen said "The great beam effects are very quick to achieve with the shape function, this mode keeps the number of channels to a reasonable amount and within minutes nice interesting beams were in the air." Clay Paky is distributed in North America by A.C.T Lighting. See A.C.T Lighting and Clay Paky at PLASA Focus: Orlando, February 17 - 18, 2015.
