Live Design/LDI Presents 2020 Design Achievement Awards on WorldStage's Custom Digital Oasis Platform The LDI 2020 Design Achievement Awards, produced by Questex and supported by headline sponsor WorldStage, honor design excellence in the fields of lighting design, projection/video design, and production design in the areas of Theatre (including dance and opera), Live For Broadcast, and Concert Touring & Events. The awards will be presented in a virtual format by the LDI/Live Design team on January 13, 14, and 15, starting at 3:00pm each day and broadcast via WorldStage's Digital Oasis platform. Work created from August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020 was nominated, and the judging panels for each category narrowed the nominees to three projects per award. The awards will include the first-ever Pandemic Pivot Prizes (PPP) that will recognize individuals, companies, and teams that have successfully pivoted their business or productions in the face of industry shutdown due to COVID-19. One prize will be presented each day of the Design Awards. The awards will be presented using the WorldStage Digital Oasis platform for virtual events services. Digital Oasis is a comprehensive online hosting solution purpose-built by production people for the live event production community to provide the foundation for successful virtual events.
