Music Appoints Andy Trott as Senior VP Professional DivisionMusic announces the appointment of Andy Trott as senior vice president of the professional division, effective November 2, 2015. Trott is the first senior appointment in the freshly restructured and customer-centric organization, and will report directly to Uli Behringer. "Following my recent communication with Andy regarding Music's new customer- and solution-focused model, we have begun building a strong top-level organization that shares our vision for disruption and provides equally strong leadership. I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Trott as senior vice president of the professional division," said Behringer. "I have long been aware of Andy's leadership role at Harman, so when we created the professional division at Music, his name was one at the top of our list. His track record in executive management in our industry makes him perfect for our fastest growing division. I am very excited to have Andy on our leadership team." Trott responded, "I recently got to spend some time with Uli, and he explained his new vision for Music -- to say I was impressed is an understatement. He is taking the company's operation to an entirely new level, one beyond anything I have witnessed during my time in management. I find the Music vision for innovation, process automation, and the total focus on customer-centric solutions to be hugely exciting. When Uli invited me to be part of this incredible adventure, my only answer was a resounding yes! Businesses are facing increasing challenges to adapt to, and thrive -- in this fast-paced digital age. We are in the midst of a staggering revolution that is both exciting and challenging at the same time, and navigating this change means embracing new ideas. I am convinced that Music will be on the leading edge of this revolution, and that is where I want to be." With more than 20 years senior management experience, Trott has spent the last 12 years at Harman Professional, where in addition to serving on the executive team, he held various operating roles including managing director of Soundcraft, president of the mixer group and vice president and general manager of the mixing, microphones, and headphones strategic business unit, plus served as leader for the Soundcraft, Studer, and AKG businesses. Prior to Harman Professional, Trott was at digital TV set-top box manufacturer Pace Micro Technology for eight years as engineering director, director of technology and strategic development and divisional CEO.
