Richard Stockton Joins Radio Active Designs Radio Active Designs (RAD) announces the appointment of Richard Stockton as sales engineer for the growing organization. The announcement was made by James Stoffo, CTO of RAD. "We are thrilled to have someone joining the team with the expertise and experience that Richard has," says Stoffo. "He has been working in the industry as an RF specialist for more than 15 years and brings an incredible amount of knowledge to the new position." As sales engineer for RAD, Stockton will be responsible for providing demonstrations and technical support for the UV-1G wireless intercom system, RAD's flagship product. The UV-1G is unique in that the base station of the system operates in a mere sliver of the RF spectrum while up to 6 RAD packs rely upon the mostly unused VHF spectrum -- freeing up valuable RF bandwidth for other wireless products. Prior to joining Radio Active Designs, Stockton worked as an independent RF technician, coordinator, and specialist as well as providing technical support and training to audio professionals. A graduate of Chicago's Columbia College, he began his career at Shure where he was tasked with managing artists relations and providing technical support on the latest Shure microphone technology. "This is a very interesting time to work in RF," Stockton says. "It's exciting to join an organization that provides solutions for the headaches associated with RF coordination. The technology is so impressive and, as someone who has installed and used the intercoms on a regular basis, I can say with absolute certainty that this product is exceptional."
