Elation's New Fuze Pendant Compact Expands House Lighting Possibilities

Thanks to their myriad of design possibilities, color-changing and white-light-tunable pendant lights are revolutionizing house and area lighting. Venues of all types have discovered that dynamic downlights allow for more engaging shows and presentations by reinforcing the setting and expanding the atmosphere out into the audience.

Elation adds to its line of dynamic pendant luminaires with the new Fuze Pendant Compact, an energy-efficient downlight intelligent enough to adapt to any environment and small enough to fit into a huge variety of spaces.

With its convenient form factor -- fixture length is only 8.75" (222mm) with a diameter of 7.8" (197mm) -- yet powerful at 7,200 lumens, the Fuze Pendant Compact accommodates a variety of ceiling height applications, the company says, yet is compact enough to adapt to smaller spaces like low ceilings, balconies, mezzanines, etc. At home in permanent installs, it is just as suitable for temporary applications like exhibitions and corporate events.

Housing a full spectrum 144W RGBWL LED array, the Fuze Pendant Compact produces beautifully vibrant hues, subtle pastels to pure saturated colors, as well as high CRI variable white tones, all with 16-bit dimming. And with color temperature adjustment from 2,400 - 8,500K, the Fuze Pendant Compact makes for an excellent color-matching unit, the company says. A variety of dimming curve modes, virtual color swatch book and high-speed shutter and strobe enhance its dynamic capabilities. A complementary luminaire to Elation's popular Fuze Pendant, the Fuze Pendant Compact features the same color system for a perfectly calibrated color match.

Pendant, optional yoke or recessed ceiling options provide flexibility when finding the ideal mounting position, and a variety of lens choices (45° included, 25°, 40°, or 50° optional) allow for precise light distribution. Optional half and full snoot kits are available to position the beam even more precisely.

The Fuze Pendant Compact is convection cooled for absolute silence and has no fans or other moving parts for a long maintenance-free product life. When used in broadcast situations, LED refresh rate frequency is adjustable to guarantee flicker-free operation.

The Fuze Pendant Compact features the same control options and connection types as the Fuze Pendant. Industry standard power and DMX connections, plus included terminal block connections for power, emergency battery input and 0-10V control, support multiple permanent or temporary install requirements with a single product design. The Fuze Pendant Compact can also receive wireless DMX via the integrated Elation E-FLY transceiver for easier setup with less cable mess.

Weighing just 11.4lb (5.2kg) and drawing only 145W of max power, the Fuze Pendant Compact makes a big impact with a small footprint and offers all the benefits of LED like greater reliability, less maintenance and increased energy efficiency for a lower cost of ownership.
