Bandit Brings the Lights to NorthField Church Night to Shine "Shine-Thru"

The Tim Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine event

The Tim Tebow Foundation held its seventh annual Night to Shine event on February 12, celebrating people with special needs over the age of 14. Bandit Lites donated lighting to the NorthField Church gathering. The evening normally features a gala, complete with a mirror ball and swaths of lighting, but due to COVID-19, volunteers made the evening as festive as possible while pivoting to a "shine-thru" celebration.

"I speak for every Bandit in saying are humbled to be a part of Night to Shine and to know we played a part in the smiles on the faces of these kids and their families," says Bandit Lites vice president Mike Golden. "Every job we do is important, but very few are as special as this one is. It is an honor to be a part of this event and our thanks go out to the entire Night to Shine operation for their efforts in truly making this a night to shine."

"Bandit has been a tremendous partner and supporter of this event," says lighting designer Mark Carver. "Mike Golden and Jimmy Hatten are always so supportive and provide anything we need for the event to be a success.

Bandit Lites donated Elation Paladins for the outdoor "red carpet," giving the special guests a glitzy entrance. Masked volunteers safely crowned each attendee as king or queen of the night and decorated the vehicles with streamers and signs. A marching band serenaded the parade while volunteers handed out flowers, gift boxes and joy.

"This event is so special because what it means to the attendees and their families," says Carver. "To see the pure joy on each face as they drove through and were crowned said it all."

"When picking up the gear, a member our team at church could not believe the level of service and attentiveness that Jimmy and the shop team gave on loading us up," continues Carver. "He recognized immediately how Bandit's level of service and prep sets them apart from other vendors."

"There is simply nothing more important to all of us at Bandit than helping these great young girls and boys have the experience of a lifetime," says Bandit Lites chair, Michael T. Strickland. "The happiness, joy and enthusiasm these great young people bring to the party is infectious. May we all always be able to help spread this much joy. Thank you to Tim Tebow, NorthField Church and Mark Carver for allowing us to be involved. It is such a blessing for everyone."
