Lycian Stage Lighting Introduces Its Second LED Followspot, the Superstar 600 Lycian Stage Lighting's Superstar 600, Model 1280, joins the 350W ZOT LED in the followspot manufacturer's line. The Superstar 600 is powered by a 600W LED and shares the familiar features the industry has enjoyed in the Superstars for many years. The followspot controls include a Lycian manufactured heavy- duty nichrome iris, mechanical fader, and horizontal chopping shutters. An internal, self-cancelling color boomerang is included as well as gobo slot. The optic system is variable focal optics and includes a fine focus. The LED light source is a long-life LED. Full specifications are available on the company's URL below. The Superstar's LED photometrics show it to be the brightest LED followspot available. Said Steve Lerman, director of sales, "The Superstar LED finally brings to market a substitute for moderate to medium powered discharge followspots. Specifications show it to be of greater output than much more expensive imports at a fraction of the price, and of course, with no changing lamps." We're proud to have the made in USA label associated with this product." It joins the already successful 350W ZOT LED, its lower-cost cousin and ushers the way for a new, even smaller LED followspot soon to follow as Lycian answers the call for smaller and more efficient products.
