Epson Now Shipping Pro L1000-Series Laser-Phosphor Large Venue ProjectorsEpson announces the new Epson Pro L1000-Series laser large venue projectors are now shipping. The Pro L1000-Series projectors are the first to integrate a laser-light source with an inorganic phosphor wheel and inorganic LCD panels for outstanding image quality, durability and reliability, the company says. The new 3LCD laser projectors come in six models ranging from 6,000 to 12,000 lumens, and offer nine optional lenses, including the world's first zero-offset ultra-short-throw lens, the company says. All six projector models come with a standard lens in box. The projectors may be purchased without the standard lens for different throw ratios. "Epson is currently number one in business projector sales. With the launch of our laser 3LCD projectors, we aim to be number one in the laser projection category as well," said Phong Phanel, product manager of large venue projectors, Epson America, Inc. "We will continue to leverage 3LCD technology, which delivers high color brightness and wide color gamut, for the best visual experience in large venue projection." The 3LCD Pro L1000-Series laser-phosphor projectors offer several advantages for large venue installations, including: • Image Quality: Epson's proprietary 4K Enhancement technology accepts the 4K signal and upscales the incoming signal to double the number of pixels on screen. The result is a higher resolution image that is better and clearer than Full HD/1080p. Combined with up to 12,000 lumens of color and white brightness, they are designed for large venues such as auditoriums, lecture halls, and sanctuaries. • Reliability: Epson combines an inorganic phosphor wheel with inorganic LCD panels for up to 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance free operation, including 24/7 usage. • Flexibility: Epson's lineup of 3LCD laser projectors is designed for a host of venues and applications; it supports 360° installation, edge-blending, stacking, portrait-mode projection, mapping, and a large variety of lens options.
