Outer Critics Circle Awards Nominations AnnouncedNominations have been announced for the Outer Critics Circle Awards, given by the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications. Some awards are broken down into separate categories for Broadway and Off Broadway. Woodward - Patriots It is a banner year for designers Paul Tate dePoo III, with three nominations, Enver Chakartash with two, and Gareth Owen, with two. Shows leading the nominations are the Off-Broadway musical Dead Outlaw, with nine; the musical The Connector and the rock-music-industry drama Stereophonic, with seven each, and the musicals Days of Wine and Roses, Illinoise, and The Who's Tommy, with six apiece. Winners will be announced via press release on Monday, May 13, followed by an awards ceremony held on Thursday, May 23.
