W-DMX Shows New Products at PLASA Focus: AustinW-DMX by Wireless Solution Sweden AB will be showing the latest products in the W-DMX G4 range during PLASA Focus: Austin, February 22-23 at the Renaissance Austin, in the A.C.T Lighting booth 123. New products on display include the ProBox F-2500 G4, the BlackBox G4 MK2, and the BlueBox RDM Controller. The ProBox F-2500 G4 is the flagship of the W-DMX range of products. ProBox F-2500 is a transceiver solution with three functions in one. It is capable of transmitting or receiving two DMX universes with support of RDM and Ethernet protocols like Art-Net II/III and s/ACN. The unit is also a one DMX universe repeater with a built in RDM controller that supports one universe with RDM over DMX or Ethernet. In addition, the ProBox F-2500 G4 also contains a built in RDM controller (BlueBox), all packed inside a 19" rack unit that supports both three-pin and five-pin XLR, Powercon and Ethercon connector, plus all of the standard G4 features, the company says. The BlackBox G4 MK2 is the new and updated version of the industry standard of wireless lighting control for installation and rental applications. The company says it spent months listening to feedback from clients all around the world and consulted with lighting designers, rental companies, stage managers, production managers, and service departments to collect important feedback. The MK2 has an advanced aluminum mold in a heavy-duty design that will be robust enough for long-term use. The BlueBox RDM Controller is a PC based DMX and RDM controller for controlling large rigs of RDM enabled products. It allows users to search for any RDM-enabled product in a DMX/RDM network, automatically patch and control the fixture, receive status updates, and configure settings such as fixture mode, lamp on/off, and more. Bluebox works with the W-DMX G4 range and will automatically search for and find any G4 transmitters and RDM-enabled G4 receivers. Signal strength and wireless channels are displayed, plus configuration options such as signal power, transmitter/receiver pairing, and compatibility modes, the company says.
