Electrosonic Wins Award for "Control Room Project of the Year"Electrosonic, an international audio-visual systems integrator, was awarded Control Room Project of the Year for the "Barclays Global Command Center at Radbroke Hall" at the 17th Annual AV Awards in London. Electrosonic has amassed a total of 29 awards since the honors began in 1999. Delivered in a very tight time scale of eight to 12 weeks, the Center consists of three large media walls which are used to monitor various metrics, and features videoconferencing capabilities to allow teams to collaborate with their equivalent centers in India and Lithuania. AV systems design, and the complete AV systems integration and installation were carried out by Electrosonic. Electrosonic provided a system that gave Barclays the utmost functionality, reliability, and value for money through detailed design, custom programming, and innovative usage of technology. The result gave Barclays an aesthetically pleasing, flexible, and functional Center. Chris Catlow, head of solutions delivery at Barclays, stated "We are extremely delighted to have won this award. Electrosonic did a great job of delivering a high quality project in such a short time frame. The Command Center's state-of-the-art technology will enable us to meet the ever changing needs of our customers and provide a continuous worldwide service." Organized by AV Magazine, the purpose of the AV Awards is to recognize and celebrate the latest projects across the audio-visual industry. Judged independently by senior representatives from user companies and key industry players, the company says the awards are considered to be one of the most prestigious AV industry awards in the UK. Last year Electrosonic won the Outstanding Achievement award in celebration of their 50th anniversary.
