In Memoriam: Phillip Alexander Foleen

Phil Foleen

Phillip Alexander Foleen, 38, of River Vale, New Jersey, passed away on September 5, 2018. Foleen is survived by his loving wife Sarah (nee Keshishian) as well as his children Aiden Alexander and Quinn Leeanne.

An Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, Foleen graduated from Valley Catholic High School in Beaverton, Oregon where he lettered in track and field and set the school record for pole vault. From there he attended Adelphi University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BA after studying theatre.

He stayed on at Adelphi becoming the assistant technical director, helping students as they learned their craft. Employment followed at Strand Lighting, and then Altman Lighting. He became a freelance theatrical electrician and an electrician for the Blue Man Group. His most recent position, one that he loved, was as an account executive at 4 Wall Entertainment.

His colleague, Sharlyne Brophy, said: "Today at 4Wall we suffered a real loss, and the industry lost a kind soul."

Foleen was born in Portland, Oregon, August 5, 1980, to Chris Henry Foleen and Robin Anne Foleen (nee VanWessem) and large family who survive him.

There was a celebration of his life from on September 8. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support his wife, Sarah and their children. fondly.com/phil-foleen-memorial-fund-1
