In a statement, the company says: "It is with regret that the Solotech family announces the death of one of its founding members, André Riendeau, who passed away on Friday, September 29. "From 1977 to 2004, Riendeau's ingenuity and visionary approach were at the very source of the worldwide success that Solotech has become, along with his ally and co-founder, Denis Lefrançois. "André stood out throughout his life for his determination and tenacity in business. Following his studies in administration at HEC Montréal, he founded Solotech in 1977 with his accomplice and unwavering friend Denis Lefrançois. The company quickly became the entertainment flagship of Quebec, then North America. He is also behind the success of Plurison, Son-Or, and Filtronique. André was a bon vivant, he enjoyed family meals, wine, grappa, music, and beautiful cars. In his retirement, this tireless worker enjoyed a peaceful life in the countryside, in a serene environment offering a magnificent view of the St. Lawrence River. "Surrounded by his family, André Riendeau died peacefully in Laval, Québec, Canada. We offer our sincere condolences to his entire family and the many employees who worked alongside him. We thank him for his incredible contribution to the world of AV and entertainment technology."
