Prolight + Sound Shanghai 2015 Programming Addresses Tomorrow's Entertainment Technology

A full range of fringe programming will be held during Prolight + Sound Shanghai 2015, which takes place October 14 - 17, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The program will address leading-edge technologies in the events and entertainment industries through a mix of forums, training courses, and live demonstrations, which provide industry peers with business ideas and excellent networking opportunities.

The four-day packed program will explore the next generation's entertainment technologies in five elements, including audio, studio recording, sound system, lighting, and visual design, bringing in new concepts, technologies, and products into the industry. The program includes:

• VPLT International Audio Training Courses (New), October 14, 2015 -- Jointly organized by the Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany (VPLT) and leading pro audio companies including Riedel and Tendzone, the debut training course in Asia will cover international standards, advanced trainings, and expert education in new products and technologies. A "Basic Entertainment Technology Data Communication Pass" will be presented to qualified attendees upon course completion.

• Acoustics Technology Forum, October 14, 2015 -- Following the overwhelming success from last year, Rongzong Wu, an audio engineer from Taiwan, will return to the 2015 forum and share his techniques in making high-quality audio compression.

• Full Dimension Sound Technology and Production Seminar (New), October 15, 2015 -- Join hands with Siwei Music Engineering Design Group and Joern Nettingsmeier from Sound Technician of German Sound Engineering Association, this seminar will introduce the latest advancement in 3D sound system technologies and applications.

• Recording Technology Forum (New), October 15, 2015 -- Xiaoxing Lu, the first Chinese winner of the Grammy Award of recording and the sound mixer for blockbuster movies including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, will discuss "Sound design for live recording." Moreover, Dakang Li, sound engineering expert, will demonstrate "5.1 surround sound recording."

• Lighting and Visual Design for TV Production Seminar, October 15, 2015 -- Jens Weber from Germany will conduct an in-depth discussion about set design and lighting for TV productions. Studio lighting design and case studies will be discussed by lighting experts from leading TV stations in China during the seminar.

• KTV Tuning Technology Design Seminar (New), October 15 - 16, 2015 -- Karaoke boxes, also referred to as KTV, are very popular and a competitive sector in Asia. The battlefield within the industry has moved from the room's interior design to the sound system. To cope with the competition and development, the show has invited the hosts of the Chinese popular online KTV tech show, Qiwen Zhu and Chenghua Luo, to show participants how to enhance the sound system design in KTV.

• Vision X Network, October 14 - 17, 2015 -- The show aims to bring new ideas to shape tomorrow's industry by combining technology introduction and networking opportunities. In a relaxing setting, seven companies will introduce their latest products and technologies at the Prolight + Sound Product Presentation Lounge. Industry peers will be able to learn about new products, network with each other, as well as capture the infinite business opportunities at this event.

• Concert Sound Arena, October 14 - 17, 2015 -- The biggest and most professional outdoor line array demonstration in Asia will feature 10 leading audio brands, allowing the audience to experience a professional concert sound in an outdoor environment. Participating brands include Audiocenter, CPL, Fs Audio, KV2, Proel, Real Sound (TBC), TASSO, Verity, YME, and Zsound.
