Bandit chair and founder, Michael T. Strickland accepted the award, acknowledging the win as a shared success with Bandit's employees and clients. "We are again very humbled to be honored by our peers in the industry. We credit this win to our phenomenal staff and to our wonder clients, without which we would not be where we are. We promise to work harder every day to deliver the world's finest people, service, and gear in order that our clients shine as bright as they possibly can." This honor marks the 24th 'Lighting Company of the Year Award' bestowed upon Bandit, who also has the distinction of being the only company nominated every year since the inception of the Pollstar event. Pollstar's Lighting Company of the Year Award caps off an incredibly successful year which included NFL Draft Day, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Launch, a summer of major festivals including nominees Bonnaroo, Hangout, and Lollapalooza, and massive touring successes of artists such as Garth Brooks, Halestorm, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Jimmy Buffett, and Barry Manilow. Strickland wrapped up by saying, "2016 will be another banner year for Bandit Lites. The installation division already has hit their numbers for the year and it is only February! The live show division is fully booked and we are purchasing new equipment daily. We look forward to seeing everyone this year and to continue to earn your trust, your friendship, and your business! Thank you!"
