PLASA to Host Second Behind the Scenes Happy Hour at LDI 2015PLASA announces that the association will host the second Behind the Scenes Happy Hour, an evening with music, food, and drinks from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Westgate Las Vegas Hotel. Current sponsors include: A.C. Lighting, Heartland Scenic Studios, iWeiss, RC4 Wireless, Sapsis Rigging, Inc., Stage Equipment and Lighting, Stan Pressner, and Ultratec Special Effects. After a hugely successful event in 2014, attended by over 400 creative industry professionals, the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour is returning to host the biggest pre-LDI party of the year and to raise money for the Behind the Scenes charity, which provides financial support to entertainment technology professionals when they are ill or injured, or to their surviving family members. Funds are granted, which can then be used towards medical care, basic living costs, and funeral expenses. Behind the Scenes, an initiative of the PLASA Foundation (formerly the ESTA Foundation) brings help and hope in times of great need, and has granted over $500,000 since its inception in 2005. PLASA is currently seeking sponsorships for the 2015 event.
