Shure Associate Jay Snyder Named Credit Executive of the YearShure director of global credit services, Jay Snyder, has been named the Robert M. Healy Credit Executive of the Year by the National Association of Credit Management (NACM). The award was presented to Snyder by Robert Healy himself at the NACM Midwest Annual Meeting in April. Snyder is an active member of the association and currently sits on its national board of directors. Each year, NACM selects a distinguished member of the association who demonstrates a spirit of volunteerism and dedication to the credit profession. Nominations are solicited by all members of the association, but the vote is among those who have previously received the award. At Shure, Snyder has achieved all-time best-in-class metrics in credit by forming effective relationships across the company's three business units and with customers while leading business process improvement teams that work toward achieving strategic goals. In the association, he has been a strong leader, always willing to share his knowledge, and travels to help at educational events and conferences. Snyder was nominated by Shure senior vice president and chief financial officer, Jim Ahlborn, and another NACM member who has been influenced by Snyder's impact on the profession through the years. "We are extremely fortunate to have Jay as our director of global credit services," remarked Ahlborn. "His actions, accomplishments, both inside and outside of the company, clearly display those of a credit executive who should be seen as a 'gold standard' and emulated by others. Jay is now being recognized by his peers with this award, which is long overdue."
