1 SOUND's Free 3D Audio Design and Prediction Software to be Released at InfoComm 1 SOUND Auralis this June. A free downloadable 3D software application that serves as a multipurpose sound design tool, Auralis enables precise, high-resolution, full-color audio predictions of your loudspeaker design in a three-dimensional space, the company says. With it, users can import various types of files, including CAD and SketchUp 3D files, or create your own three-dimensional space. The company says the product is designed with easy organization and grouping tools with clear directions regarding building/importing your space, adjusting system mechanical information with 1 SOUND rigging, 3D acoustical mapping, SPL predictions, and phase coherency. The product is also an accurate measurement tool that utilizes information that was collected for every 1 SOUND loudspeaker. That data has been collected in 1 SOUND's research and design lab. When complete, Auralis will generate customizable reports with all the applicable information. The printed mechanical reports act as an on-site installation reference. Auralis supports various design application types, working with multiple loudspeakers, Tower arrays, and measurement microphones. 1 SOUND aims for Auralis to be an iterative free software. The goal is to support designers and integrators with an intuitive and visually straightforward tool that assists with designing audio in a physical space. 1 SOUND will continuously update the software in the future, adding innovative new tools and maintaining any additions to the 1 SOUND speaker catalog, the company says. 1 SOUND will officially launch Auralis to the public on June 12 at InfoComm Las Vegas, publishing the software to the 1 SOUND website.
