Proel SW to Launch Series Subwoofers at NAMM The new SW Series from audio manufacturer Proel is a range of sub-woofers designed to complement its full-range speakers, including the NET and FLASH Series. The SW Series includes two new models and an update to the existing FLASH15S, which has been renovated and renamed. Thanks to the variety of size, power and SPL, the SW subwoofers can offer the perfect low extension solution for any full-range speaker, the company says. All the SW models feature large voice coil (VC) woofers and a band-pass design, providing very punchy' and dynamic lows together with an extended low-frequency response. The Class H and Class D amplifier modules can generate up to 1000W of continuous power in a compact and reliable package. In details, the SW118H and SW115H models combine advanced technical characteristics with, respectively, 18" and 15" Celestion neodymium speakers, plus 1,000W and 500W class D amplifiers. Finally, the SW115 model has 15" speaker with 350W class H amplifier. All the modules include a stereo preamp section, 24dB/oct. crossover filters with selectable frequency and phase reverse switch. The cabinets are built with 15/18mm plywood and feature two or three metal handles and 75mm wheels for an easy transport. The whole SW series will be presented in preview at the next NAMM edition in Los Angeles and will be available for sales in the first quarter 2011.
