Christie Lites Purchases 2000 Martin MAC Aura Wash Lights Lighting rental and production company Christie Lites has purchased 2000 of Martin Professional's award-winning MAC Aura moving head wash lights for the company's many rental locations across North America. Huntly Christie, Christie Lites' CEO, commented on the purchase, stating, "When making a commitment, Christie Lites looks for products that are first in its class. We believe the MAC Aura's patented color mixing system, powerful output, clean optics, and affordable price tag will deliver the design community a fabulous tool. We are very pleased to be adding a significant quantity to our product line." The MAC Aura is a wash light with two independent illumination systems -- multicolor beam LEDs and a backlight LED lens array -- that launched at the PLASA trade show in mid-September, winning a PLASA Award for Innovation. It is capable of producing new eye-candy effects plus functions as a highly capable single-lens wash with fully pre-mixed color, the company says. Brian Fribourg, Martin's US president, stated, "Our latest LED moving head launches remind me of when we launched the MAC 2000 fixtures years ago. Like the MAC 2000s, the MAC 101 and now the MAC Aura, are quickly becoming the standard of the industry. Launching new products with a home run is always fun and I cannot wait to step up to the plate again with our next products."
