"Mixed Reality" Describes the Unusual and Captivating at WorldStage San Francisco Open House

WorldStage San Francisco Mixed Reality Open House

WorldStage is known for the innovative and fun technical open houses held at its offices on both coasts. Recently, WorldStage San Francisco welcomed clients and partners to the WorldStage 2016 Mixed Reality Open House. A hot ticket in the Bay Area tech community, Mixed Reality offered guests a chance to get up close and personal with technology solutions for the live event marketplace that were unique and outside the mainstream. It followed the festive Tacos and Technology get-together held by WorldStage New York last summer.

The WorldStage office in San Carlos was transformed for the event to showcase dozens of hands-on opportunities to explore the latest in a diverse array of event technology applications. Moving from one experiential demo to another really got guests' creative juices flowing. The company says everyone was buzzing about how to put the new technology to work in their upcoming projects.

"We are first and foremost a creative technology and solutions company," notes WorldStage president Josh Weisberg. "WorldStage has a reputation for not only being a thought leader in new technology but also a partner and collaborator with our customers. Our technical open houses enable us to show creative ways to deploy exciting new technologies so customers can conceptualize and deliver extraordinary projects."

Mixed Reality reinforced WorldStage's position as the go-to company for creatives who want to gain an edge in the live events arena.

Among the favorite Mixed Reality demos were those for WhiteSpace and WhiteSpacePRO, unique LCD and projection technologies that can create surprising environments. Guests also flocked to MultiTaction touchscreens, a Unilumin U39 LED wall with Kinect interactivity, BlackBird transparent LCD displays, and an LED demo space complete with an interactive sound experience supported by an LED floor, LED walls, and a touchscreen user interface.

Additionally, WorldStage demonstrated projection mapping and tracking on moving 3D objects and showed how 3D previsualization of event designs can help in the preproduction process.

After Mixed Reality concluded WorldStage introduced an interactive online link highlighting the event. Users can click on icons to play demo videos and collect more information on featured products. The link serves as a handy recap for those who attended the open house and gives those who weren't present a chance to discover the excitement.
