Sommer Cable Announces New Management Team

Germany's Sommer cable GmbH, a 2025 TEC Award finalist, announces that Maximilian Blanck and Marie-Kathrin Huber will join the management of the company. They will succeed Friedhelm Sommer, co-founder and long-standing managing director, who is taking his retirement.

As the children of Rainer Blanck, co-founder and CEO of Sommer Cable, both have had a close relation to the company since their childhood. Among other accomplishments, Maximilian developed the SYSBOXX configurator. Since October 2023, he has been supporting Sommer cable's entrepreneurship, sales, and product management as well as the IT management and was co-responsible for the new website of the company's online shop. He also has a master's degree in information management.

Marie-Kathrin Huber (nee Blanck) also joined the company in August 2023. Her international studies (MA) and many years of experience in the cultural sector form a basis for her activities in management, but also in HR, as well as in marketing and sales, notably in the digital world and social media.

This year, the company celebrates its 25th anniversary.
