LSC Control Systems Displays Line-up at PLASA 2024

Award-winning manufacturer LSC Control Systems enjoyed a successful PLASA Show in London this year. The company showed its solutions alongside its UK distributor, A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET), and also on the stand of its new owner (and headline PLASA Show sponsor) Robe lighting s.r.o.

Central to its extended presence at PLASA this year was its UNITY range of power distribution and dimming systems - increasingly a major consideration for consultants and specifiers worldwide. Recent UNITY projects include Disney cruise ships and prominent theatres, both internationally - including Hanoi's Ho Guom Opera House - and at home in Australia - including the Western Australia Academy for Performing Arts (WAAPA) and the Geelong Arts Centre in Victoria.

Also displayed were LSC's latest product additions including the GEN-X -- an enhanced version of the popular GEN-VI (pronounced 'GEN6') dimming and power distribution system, which introduces an Ethernet input alongside the DMX, allowing for direct control via sACN and Art-Net.

Another development, the APS-X brings Ethernet functionality to the inputs of the APS (Advanced Power System). Designed as an elegant solution to the challenges of powering large numbers of LED screen panels, audio amplifiers or moving lights, the APS sequentially switches the outputs and controls inrush currents, earth leakages and overloads.

Also shown was LSC's new NEXEN range of Ethernet/DMX converters, offering reliable conversion of the entertainment industry's most-used protocols, including Art-Net, sACN, DMX512-A, RDM and ArtRDM.

Other highlights included the latest major software update to the Mantra lite control software: Mantra V4 sees the addition of colour mixing options for 7+ colour LED systems and full support for multi-intensity fixtures among a number of new features for this incredibly powerful entry-level lighting control console.
