Drama Desk Awards Nominations AnnouncedThe Drama Desk Awards nominations were announced today. The Drama Desk is an organization of critics, journalists, editors, and publishers covering the New York theatre scene. The Drama Desk Awards are the only major New York City theatre awards for which productions on Broadway, Off Broadway, and Off Off Broadway compete against each other in the same categories. David Barbour and Charles Wright are The Drama Desk co-presidents. Among multiple nominees, the leaders include the Off Broadway musical Dead Outlaw with 11, the Broadway musical The Outsiders with nine, and Stereophonic, Suffs, and The Connector with eight apiece.
