Women's Business Enterprise Council Pacific Honors Colleen Bonniol

Colleen Bonniol

Seattle-based hybrid experience agency MODE Studios announces that company CEO and founder Colleen Bonniol has been awarded the Women's Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) Pacific organization's 2021 Cornerstone Award. Conferred at WBECP's recent "Limitless: Phenomenal Women" virtual conference, the award honors corporations, agencies, and certified Women's Business Enterprises that go above and beyond bringing their expertise and resources to amplify and tangibly support the work of WBECP and its members throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.

Colleen is in great company for this honor: WBECP members Barbara Wichmann of Artemia and Catherine Smith of K&L Gates LLP share the 2021 Cornerstone Award.

Together with her partner Bob Bonniol, Colleen has made MODE Studios a preeminent force in media and interactive design since its launch in 1997. Building on the firm's All-Star roster of clients that includes leading corporations, architecture firms, entertainment networks, and recording artists, the company made an auspicious pivot in 2020 to support virtual events. With Colleen serving as WBECP's event producer for the past three years, the organization's multifaceted mission of advancing diversity, empowering women, and building community makes it an ideal position for her.

More specifically, MODE's development of its proprietary Event & Community Platform has led to vast employment opportunities for event-industry professionals otherwise sidelined during the pandemic. In 2020, the publishers of Live Design magazine honored Colleen with their Pandemic Pivot Prize, noting her focus on "prioritizing opportunities for women, people of color, and the LGBTQ community, always bolstering diversity, even during the most challenging of times."

"We have been inspired by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council's invaluable opportunities and resources since earning our certification in 2005. During the pandemic, our internal developments put us in an even better position to support our WBEC Pacific colleagues. It is very inspiring to know that this involvement has been impactful for the organization and its members."
