Airstar Launches BULBS, a New Range of Giant Bulb Shaped Lighting Balloons for the Event Industry

Airstar, the inventor and world leader of lighting balloons for the event industry, announces the release of its newest lighting balloons inspired by iconic bulb shapes: BULBS. Shipping immediately, this new range boasts a vintage and industrial look to produce a truly unique atmosphere for any event. BULBS will be introduced for the first time at the 2018 Event Production Show in London Olympia, February 28 -March 1, 2018, on the Airstar European network stand (E50E).

The inspiration behind BULBS came from Pierre Chabert, president and director of innovation at Airstar. The range is made of eight giant vintage shaped lighting bulb models that are set to be equally popular with event guests and organizers alike. By associating each model to the name of a famous inventor, Chabert paid tribute to the great minds who inspire him every day: Curie, Einstein, Copernic (Copernicus), Volta, Nobel, Newton, Da Vinci, and of course Edison.

"The event market constantly needs to renew itself to provide new ideas and solutions for its customers," explains Airstar sales director, Xavier Ponson. "Traditional light bulbs are popular shapes that you can find in architecture, in most design stores, as well as interior decoration outlets. We believe they can have a similar success at events, so we decided to turn it into an Airstar innovation."

With their original shapes, BULBS replicate giant models of traditional bulbs, while delivering the highest quality thanks to Airstar's textile craftsmanship. BULBS can be laid out on the floor or hanged on ceilings, used indoors and outdoors (IP54 rating) and create a unique and stylish ambiance. Available in eight different shapes and sizes, ranging from 1m60 for the smallest model to 4m30 for the largest, they are the perfect solution for any environments. BULBS are equipped with a built-in fan helping them to keep a perfect shape. Installation time takes between 15 and 40 minutes in total depending on the size of the model.

BULBS are fully customizable thanks to various embedded LED light options, as they were designed to host different light sources already available in three other products from the Airstar event range: the Crystal RGB (color LED), the Crystal Dynamic White (white LED), and the Crystal RGBW (white and color LED). They can also be connected via DMX and controlled manually to create a one-of-a-kind light show.

The LED technology offers a lifespan of over 50,000 hours while reducing the power consumption (80W to 300W depending on the models). They are able to operate between 100V to 240V, 50/60Hz.
