EAW's New RS Series, Now Shipping The new RS Series from EAW delivers the company's signature performance in a meticulously designed portable, lightweight, and durable wooden enclosure. The series features four loudspeakers and two low frequency enclosures designed around true touring grade transducers. Pattern control of the RS Series is further enhanced by the large format, constant directivity HF horn; first proven in the legendary MK Series, this horn design was born from the audio needs of performance venues throughout the world. "The RS Series is something we have been working toward throughout this year. A powerful, reliable amplification platform coupled with a very competitive package of components and acoustic design. We've leveraged aspects of both our RSX and Redline series of products to create an incredible list of features and functions in one of the most easily accessible product lines we've ever created," shared David Sherman, RS Series project manager. RS loudspeakers and low frequency enclosures house on-board bi-amplified electronics (1500W) featuring EAW's signature DSP, Focusing and DynO to deliver unmatched musical clarity and tonal accuracy throughout the listening area and at high drive levels. Advanced port design utilizes asymmetric geometry to control reflections and resonance. The EAW Resolution software platform is a powerful and easy-to-use simulation tool that accurately predicts the performance of one or multiple RS Series enclosures within a venue or performance space. "The RS family is fundamentally about our commitment to delivering high performance in an easy to use portable loudspeaker. We made an active decision to invest in high quality components in the series, then leveraged our Focusing and DynO processing to deliver a level of fidelity and clarity that is unmatched in this product class. Straightforward analog inputs and voicing options means they can be deployed reliably night after night, and the lightweight and durable enclosure make them easy to transport and set-up. Combined, this creates a versatile loudspeaker that is at home in almost any application environment," added Jeremy Forsythe, director of product management.
