As international marketing executive, McCaffrey will function as a bridge between ARRI Rental and set, helping to form and nurture industry relationships. ARRI Rental's chief executive, Martin Cayzer, comments: "Peter's reputation as one of the industry's top camera operators, his on-set experience, and his relationships with cinematographers, camera crews, and producers will make him a highly valuable member of our team." McCaffrey started his career in film labs in the mid-1980s. After working his way up through the camera department in the traditional way, moving from 2nd AC to 1st AC, he then spent 25 years as an internationally renowned camera and Steadicam operator. His film credits include The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Hobbit; most recently he worked on three films with ARRI Rental's exclusive ALEXA 65 system: The Great Wall, Ghost in the Shell, and Thor: Ragnarok. McCaffrey notes: "I have a long history of working with ARRI equipment and with ARRI Rental as a service provider. I know first-hand how important a strong relationship between a crew and its rental house is, and how ARRI Rental puts the needs of its clients first. I'm excited to represent the company on location, on the studio floor, or wherever the users of our equipment are."
