Advanced Concepts & Designs Installs First-In-Vegas Sound SystemLas Vegas-based commercial audio, video, lighting, and control systems contractor Advanced Concepts & Designs recently completed the installation of the first permanently installed Meyer Sound LEOPARD sound system in Las Vegas at Sam's Town Live!, the concert venue inside of Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall on Boulder Highway. This sound system replaces the original sound system that was installed when Sam's Town Live! was built in 2000. "This project was a great opportunity to showcase what Advanced is capable of," said Advanced's general manager Mike Brown-Cestero. "Our ability to get all the right parts of the system aligned and ready for a quick installation and immediate use afterwards were critical in the success of this project." "Although replacing the sound system was already planned, a series of upcoming shows added a new level urgency to the design, and Meyer Sound was absolutely amazing in their support of this installation, making sure the design was 100% solid and the tuning absolutely spot-on within one day of the hang," added Brown-Cestero. John McMahon, vice president of solutions and strategy with Berkeley, California-based Meyer Sound -- said this about the sound system: "LEOPARD is a small line array speaker that wasn't targeted to a specific market. Instead, we gave it to our engineers as a challenge to see how well it could be designed ... Leopard is more powerful and has less distortion than a comparably sized loudspeaker." Advanced Concepts & Designs is a Las Vegas-based commercial audio, video, and lighting contractor founded in 2002.
