AED Group Invests in PIXERA Hardware and Software AED Display, the Belgian AV solutions provider, recently announced its decision to invest heavily in AV Stumpfl's new PIXERA media server software and hardware. With a total of six full spec PIXERA two media servers, six PIXERA one servers, and 10 PIXERA mini player units ordered at this year's ISE 2019 in Amsterdam, AED Display will soon be able to allow its customers to choose from more than 45 AV Stumpfl media server systems, making the company the world's largest provider of AV Stumpfl media servers. AED's existing RAW and STAGE servers will all be upgraded to include PIXERA software and will be fully compatible with the new system. AED Display will also offer all official PIXERA training classes. PIXERA is a 64-bit system for real-time media processing, compositing, and management, built around the key theme of usability. Users can gradually discover the options and features and can smoothly transition from being a beginner to becoming a specialist. Actions in the 2D and 3D space follow the same mechanisms. The system was designed so that users can execute the most important basic actions in record time and with minimum effort. A radical new interface logic enables even first-time users to intuitively understand the main software mechanics. Entering the world of professional media playout solutions has never been easier. PIXERA one is a compact 1U server model, that can play back uncompressed 4K at 60fps and has a depth of only 45cm. PIXERA one is available with two or four outputs. PIXERA two is a 2U server model that is similar to the PIXERA one in many ways but offers more customization options and a redundant power supply. PIXERA two is available with two, four, or eight outputs. PIXERA mini is a flexible and ultra-compact media player unit, perfect for digital signage and small to large multi-display applications. The PIXERA servers ordered by AED Display will all include the highly innovative and camera based VIOSO auto-calibration technology. AV Stumpfl CEO, Fabian Stumpfl, said: "As a long term partner, AED was one of the first companies to understand the potential of our new next-generation media server system PIXERA. We are very happy that AED customers will soon be able to discover the world of PIXERA for themselves. The PIXERA roadmap for the near future is very exciting and we are looking forward to further develop the possibilities of this groundbreaking soft- and hardware solution together with trusted partners like AED." Both companies officially announced the product order at this year's Integrated Systems Europe trade fair in Amsterdam. AED Display managing director Thierry Heldenbergh explains the reasons behind the latest investment: "At AED Group we don't just follow trends, we actively research and identify the most promising technologies out there and move fast to make them available to our customers. We always strive to build industry standards in close partnership with manufacturers, like we did with the RAW Servers. PIXERA represents the next stage in the evolution of media server technology."
