Listen Technologies Supports Tours at InfoComm 2023 with ListenTALKListen Technologies Corporation used Listen Technologies' ListenTALK to facilitate group communication during Show Floor tours and Integrated Experience tours at InfoComm 2023. This is the second year Listen Technologies has supported tours at InfoComm, North America's largest professional AV trade show, with ListenTALK. AVIXA uses ListenTALK because the system is reliable, easy to use, and delivers exceptional audio clarity, the company says. ListenTALK is a two-way communication system featuring small, lightweight transceivers (combination transmitters/receivers) that users wear on a lanyard around their neck. Tour guides speak into a headset with a microphone attached to their transceiver. Tour participants heard clear audio through headphones or earbuds connected to their transceivers. Neck loops were available for users with telecoil-equipped hearing devices, including hearing aids and cochlear implants. Participants pressed and held a TALK button on the transceiver to speak to tour guides and others in the group. There were opportunities for InfoComm attendees to participate in Show Floor tours on-site at the Orange County Convention Center and at various local AV environments in Orlando, where participants witnessed real-world AV applications firsthand. "ListenTALK removes all barriers to mobile group communication," says Marcella Walsh, content manager at AVIXA. "Regardless of the space or size of the group, tour participants and guides can hear clearly and communicate easily. We're excited to use ListenTALK for the tours at InfoComm 2023 because we know the system will provide an exceptional audio experience for all tour participants." ListenTALK is well suited for large, noisy spaces like the Orange County Convention Center and other challenging communication environments. The system operates inside and outside and can accommodate up to 20 groups in the same space. Tour guides can speak in a normal voice and trust that everyone in the group will hear them. Transceivers can easily be grouped for one- or two-way communication in a docking station or on the fly by tapping units together using near-field communication (NFC). Leaders in each group choose how their group communicates by selecting one of three communication modes: listen only, respond, and discuss. "AVIXA has planned several exciting Integrated Experience and Show Floor tours at InfoComm that showcase the power of AV and creativity of our industry," says Maile Keone, president and CEO of Listen Technologies. "We're delighted to once again provide the ListenTALK system for use during these popular tours so participants can hear clearly and engage with guides and one another. We have no doubt they'll be impressed and inspired at each venue." Additional reasons ListenTALK is popular include: • Reliability - ListenTALK transceivers charge quickly (four hours from empty to full charge) and have a long operating life: seven to eight hours for leader units and 12 hours for participant units. • Flexibility - ListenTALK can be used for one-way or two-way communication and leaders can easily switch between modes. The 3-in-1 system can also be used for assistive listening, tours, and interpretation. • Security - ListenTALK operates on a low-interference DECT (digital enhanced cordless telecommunications) band and includes encryption for secure and stable communications. • Safety - ListenTALK transceivers can be sanitized between uses with a disinfecting wipe. They also are compatible with standard earbuds and headsets so listeners can use their own equipment if preferred.
