Barbizon Charlotte Hosts Eighth Annual Extravaganza at UNCSA For the eighth year, Barbizon Lighting Company's Charlotte offices brought together entertainment industry companies to set up for a day of technology at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Thirty-six companies representing, theatrical, broadcast, and film equipment set up in three spaces at the UNCSA Performance Place for students and local industry professionals to see the latest technology available on the market. "This year we had over 300 attendees which is a new record for us," remarked Barbizon Charlotte sales manager Esthere Strom. "It was great to see such a mix of students and pros all in one place talking, interacting, and learning." Two educational sessions were also presented for attendees. ETC presented Ted Ohl on the evolution of stage rigging and the other by TMB's Chris Curran on media servers, how they work, and their increased use in live production.
