Bandit Lites Invests $5 Million in Green Technology Bandit Lites has made several strategic investments on a global basis to further the push into green technology and to provide their clients with leading edge services. Total expenditures were over five million dollars. On the control side of things, Bandit has purchased a large quantity of Barco/High End Systems Road Hog and Full Boar consoles. From the Martin Pro side of things Bandit has purchased several new M 1 consoles. Another new addition is the Martin MAC 2000 Beam kit. With minimal investment, Martin has allowed MAC 2000 owners to use their fixtures as either a standard MAC 2000 or into a beam fixture Moving into the GRN area, Bandit has doubled the inventory of GRNLite fixtures from last year. These additions include GRN PAR 3-36, GRN Batten 3-54, GRN Wash 3-36, GRN Moving Wash 3-120, and the newly redesigned GRN 8 Lights 3-96 with RGBW. All fixtures feature 3W LEDs. Finally, Bandit has committed to the i-Pix range of fixtures and has invested heavily, with a focus on BB-4, BB 2 X 2, and BB-7 fixtures. Bandit's chairman, Michael T. Strickland, says, "Chris Ewington and the great people at i-Pix are the class of the industry, and we are proud to be associated with them. We look forward to a long relationship with them and their industry leading products." Bandit continues with the many other quality manufacturers of LED fixtures, including Phillips, Vari-Lite, Color Kinetics, Element Labs, Coemar, Robe, Pixel Range, GLP, Chroma- Q, Elation, Chauvet and others. Bandit is dedicated to becoming 80% LED by the end of 2011.
