BASSBOSS Returns Home to Austin for SXSW

	In a full-circle moment, BASSBOSS is now the featured sound system for the Heart of Austin Stage inside Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, located near Gate 19.

BASSBOSS is now once again headquartered in its home town, Austin, Texas. The company made its return known in a big way during SXSW 2025 -- powering venues, lounges, and the city's own airport.

During SXSW, Empire Control Room & Garage -- one of the festival's official venues -- featured a full BASSBOSS system, chosen for its ability to deliver both precision and punch at high SPL, the company says.

In the SXSW Artist Lounge, BASSBOSS deployed the VS21-MK3 powered subwoofers and AT212-MK3 tops, delivering a soundstage with control. Paired with CCM12-MK3 monitors for nearfield reference and monitoring, the setup created an immersive listening environment that supported content creation, casual hangs, and surprise performances with ease.

Just yards from where the company once tested early prototypes of the same model in a warehouse by the cargo runway, BASSBOSS now powers one of the airport's most dynamic live music experiences.

"We built our first rigs out on the cargo-area runway, cranking tracks just to feel what they could do," says David Lee, BASSBOSS founder and designer. "Coming back full circle to the terminal -- not only as an Austin original but as the featured system for the stage -- is a huge honor."
