Carey Smolensky Productions Wins Three Awards

Carey Smolensky Productions and its family of companies received high honors at the 2015 N.I.C.E. (NACE ISES Chicago Excellence) Awards hosted at the Embassy Suites Chicago/O'Hare/Rosemont this month. Nominated in three categories, the North Shore team of event professionals took home the award in all three categories.

Carey Smolensky Productions (CSP) received the honor of best use of production for their creative and inspiring production of Vector Marketing's Rep Development Conference hosted at the Hilton McCormick Place in May 2014. CSP has provided the audiovisual production for this annual event in cities across the United States and in Canada. A global leader in each of their industries, these two powerhouse companies have teamed together for more than 25 years.

This award winner was described as: "STORM Interactive Entertainment, produced by Carey Smolensky Productions, received top honors for best interactive entertainment and best team event for their amazing production at the 2014 AFR's DESIGN SPARK Networking Event. Combining STORM's core DJ, MC, percussionist, and dancers with a variety of acclaimed talent, including a spoken-word/musical artist, a strong man, and a contortionist/hand balancing artist, and other STORM artists, STORM Interactive Entertainment produced the perfect blend of entertainment for this great team event."

This award-winning Best Interactive Entertainment was described as: "Flawlessly combining interactive entertainment within the confines of a networking event is how this company became a finalist. Utilizing the unique aspect of a specialty DJ, percussionist, and interactive MC performing together and interweaving show-stoppers of choreographed dancers, costumed interactors, a spoken word/musical vocalist, a strong man, and a contortionist/hand balancing artist, the result was an entertainment extravaganza which awed and inspired the attendees. Carey Smolensky Productions was first started by Carey Smolensky as mobile music disc jockey service in 1978 from his family home in Wilmette. Over the past 37 years, teaming with his wife Diane and their employees, Smolensky has grown his company to include five difference companies under the umbrella of CSP Worldwide Event Management. Under this same umbrella, Diane Smolensky has created Custom Specialty Promotions.
