PR Lighting's Butterfly Dazzles Even More SpectacularlyPR Lighting recently previewed the new Butterfly among a suite of new products at the Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt. Although it was well received, the company decided to supercharge it by adding five small plates on the central disk, containing 15 1W LEDs, to the six 40W Osram RGBW four-in-one LEDs already existing. It is now known as the Butterfly II. The new deluxe luminaire is thus now composed of 11 independently controlled or grouped LED engines all in one unit. The fixed center 3.5-degree RGBW beam is surrounded by the five individual identical RGBW beams, all with tilt control, creating a flapping butterfly effect. This luminaire contains five white LED clusters that can be individually controlled or can work together to create either a white blinder strobe or random strobing effect. The entire unit can pan 540-degrees and tilt 270-degrees while the entire head can spin continuously through 360-degrees and the outer LEDs can tilt 180-degrees. The LCD touchscreen and WDMX control make operation and connection easy and intelligible. This colorful and dazzling lighting fixture, suitable for concerts, clubs or any setting that requires precise movement, enables the lighting designer to provide perfectly even wash coverage from a truly multi-purpose unit. The Butterfly II is shipping now.
