Central American Debut for PR-5000 and XLED 590

PR Lighting's new PR-5000 moving head spot and XLED590 LED wash light recently made their Central American debut at a concert in Guatemala, starring the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Tito el Bambino, headlined a concert, for 2,500, at the Feria de Xela in Quetzaltenango.

Local company The Best Music, PR Lighting's distributor for the past six years, fielded a vast array of the Chinese manufacturer's products as part of a complete sound, light, and video package.

Working for the production company, Audio Illusion, The Best Music fielded four of the new PR-5000 spots alongside eight XL 1200 spots, and eight each of the XL Beam 300 and XL 700 while a further eight each of the new XLED 590 and XLED 390 provided LED washes from ninety 5W LEDs and ninety 3W LED's respectively. These were designed into the set by LD Francisco Giron, and the cues stored in a High End Systems Wholehog III lighting desk.

To complete the line-up of PR Lighting effects, the sound and lighting specialists deployed two Orlands as follow spots.

According to The Best Music's Janma Bardi and Juan Castro the lighting proved a great success. "PR Lighting fixtures offer good response and programming, the movement is unique and the colors are very intense.

"In fact Tito El Bambino's technician was extremely grateful to us for being able to present this type of lighting and loved how the fixtures functioned. It was a privilege to be the first country in Central America to present the XLED 590 and PR-5000 - and on such a high profile show."
