Le Mark to Display New Flooring Line at LDIAfter being incredibly well received at PLASA in London this year, the Le Mark Group announces that it will be exhibiting a range of flooring with a difference at LDI2012. Watched by a global audience of four billion, the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony has been hailed as a spectacular success -- and Huntingdon UK-based specialist flooring company Le Mark played a vital role by converting an original design into a printable format, producing, and then installing the "reveal" floor which featured so prominently in the "Pandemonium" section of the ceremony. Creating the vast stage floor, printed with a bird's eye view of the river Thames snaking through the streets of London, required significant innovation and expertise, the company says. Eventually the go-ahead was given to print and install 7,500-sq.-m. of glossy Coda flooring -- which equated to 440 - 13m x 1.5m rolls of pattern match flooring -- plus a variety of extra cut-outs and specials that would be needed on the project. Using Adobe Illustrator the design was split into separate jigsaw pieces -- almost 800 in all -- each being given an individual ID to ensure it was installed in exactly the right place. Le Mark is happy to announce that they will have a limited number of A4 sized pieces of the actual Olympic flooring to give away to the first 50 people to visit their booth 143 at LDI2012.
