1 SOUND Towers: An Ideal Application at Cross Point ChurchCross Point Church in Farmingdale, New Jersey wanted to update their sound system to something better equipped for their live performances and asked 1 SOUND for help. Cross Point usually has a 10 piece live band perform and then does their service with a headset mic on stage. All of their services are live streamed. Installed for the PA was a center hung SUB310 with (3) Tower LCC44's. The rigging points on the SUB310 and the Tower rigging system allowed for this cluster to be hung and have adjusted angles so the Tower LCC44's were angled down for the audience. Towers have a 120° dispersion pattern making it so the sides were covered by just the center cluster. For the seats closer toward the stage on the sides, Tower Systems, made up of LCC84's on top of SUB310's, were placed on either side. This was for better coverage on the sides of the house, the company says. The Tower Systems were placed on the stage and the LCC84's slightly angled down using the Tower Rigging System being that the stage was elevated from the crowd. This is a smaller looking PA that has high SPL and nice coverage for this space that seats 300 people and has a wide stage. The Tower line array columns make this system great for the church's livestream audio as well. The cardioid quality of the Towers gives them 20dB of cancellation when past their field of directivity, making the sound onstage more controlled so the microphones onstage are unbothered. Towers in a stage application give quality audio with accuracy creating great sound in the room as well as when recorded, the company says.
