ScottEffx Introduced flickerSong at NAMM 2023ScottEffx introduced the flickerSong music light show system at NAMM 2023 Booth 10728. The flickerSong is designed to operate eight independent outputs of the commonly available LED String Lights used for holiday decoration, with multiple units easily added to plug and play dozens or even hundreds of outputs. Free ScottEffx iPhone or Macintosh Apps lets the user play light shows via Wi-Fi from their own library of music with embedded light show content. The flickerSong acts as both a timer and dimmer when not playing light shows, with each unit's outputs independently dimmed with ten timed events per day (on/off/sequence) synced to NIST time. An extensive suite of tools enables the musician/creator to create light shows for their own music, preview and perfect the light show using the free ScottEffx Macintosh tools, and then bouncing the music and light show to MP3. An included Macintosh simulator lets the composer use a photograph of their scene or venue, decorate it with string lights, and play the light show. Musician/creators can compose light shows for their own use or for sale. Intended for small venues and consumer holiday light shows, the use of multiple flickerSong's allows for larger events as well, and the system's buffered and timed design presents streaming opportunity for wide-scale synchronized light shows. Multiple strings on each 40W rated output are possible. The system has internal overload and temperature protection for robust operation. The new flickerSong is manufactured and distributed by Scott Burkhart Effects LLC , aka ScottEffx, in Livermore, California, US, and is available for sale on Shopify.
