Robert C. Adams, Jr. Joins Serapid Inc. as Engineering Manager and Chief EngineerSerapid, Inc., a leading supplier of linear motion technologies, announced that Robert C. Adams, Jr. has joined the organization. Adams joins Serapid as engineering manager and chief engineer, and will be leading the engineering team, as well as providing project management and heading up new product development. In his career of over 25 years in manufacturing, Adams has specialized in engineering the development of new processes and technologies in material handling. An experienced and innovative engineering leader, he has an extensive background in automated transfer systems design. Prior to joining Serapid, Adams was the founder of Tribis Engineering, Inc., an automated test systems manufacturer and testing laboratory. At Tribis, Adams successfully developed a testing technology, "wide spectrum" testing, to replace the industry standard PV limit model, eventually serving four years as president and chief technical officer. Adams served thirteen years as engineering manager at Welker Bearing Company, where his expertise in tribology and mechanisms were key to expanding corporate product lines, playing a major strategic role in the corporate business growth plan. Adams also was research and development engineer at Beaver Precision Products, developing and introducing several new product lines. Lounis added, "We are delighted to welcome him to our senior management team." Adams is a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering from Oakland University. He also holds a MS in mechanical engineering from Oakland University, and a BS in mechanical engineering from San Diego State University. He is a frequent lecturer, holds multiple patents, and is a member of ASME, STLE, and SAE.
