LDR Showcases Products at Prolight+Sound Italian lighting manufacturer Luci della Ribalta (LDR) exhibited at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt earlier this month. The company reports seeing a steady stream of visitors, with many eyes drawn to the ASTRO followspots, especially the ASTRO 600 Tropical (which, the company says, is suitable for any climate, even the tropics), and the ASTRO 250 WiFi. "Booth attendance on day one and two was really excellent, the remaining days still seeing quality visitors despite at a slower pace. This proved, however, to be an added bonus as it gave us plenty of time to discuss products and projects in depth" says Lisa Papi, managing director. "It was truly a pleasure to see that many of the visitors came with the specific intention of seeing our ASTRO units in action -- products that are now widely recognized as leaders in their specific market," she adds. Most of the audience came from Germany and Europe, with a good number of international players as well -- many of them familiar faces, alongside some new connections. "Meeting young lighting designers, some attending an event of this scale for the first time, was also quite a challenging and interesting feature of this year's edition," Papi says. "They showed great passion and curiosity for our followspots, proving that when quality is so evident, it's easily appreciated -- even by those with less experience, who nonetheless demonstrate strong technical competence."
