In Memoriam: Donn DenistonDonn Deniston, age 64, passed away March 5, 2022. Deniston joined Littlite in 2001 as the marketing manager and special products engineer where he helped develop new Littlite products and markets for Littlite. He was a great salesman and represented Littlite at many tradeshows. He was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on September 5, 1957, to Donald Deniston and Lynne Aluk. He married his wife of 40 years, the love of his life and soulmate, Linda Sue Schweinhagen, on July 25, 1981. Together they had an amazing daughter, Sam Deniston, born on December 19, 1986. Deniston had a special place in his heart for animals and was often found rescuing a turtle from the road, nurturing a baby bird that fell from a tree, or stopping to pick up a stray dog. He loved the scenic views of northern Michigan, hiking the waterfalls in the U.P. and enjoying the vastness and mysteries of Lake Superior. He enjoyed spending his time at home with his family, antiquing, going to concerts, hiking, and riding his bike. Deniston was a musician and spent his life spreading his passion for music. Drumming was his passion whether he was playing live, recording in the studio, writing his own music, mentoring young musicians, or just spending time with the friends of the musical family he created. His presence, friendship, love, and noise will be missed by all who knew him. Deniston leaves behind his wife, Linda; daughter, Sam; dog, Kayla; cat, Ickis; grand cats; Luna and Martian. He is also survived by stepfather, Richard Refner; siblings, Max Morden, Tammy Hale, Danny Refner, and Debbie Bedolla. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lynne Aluk, and father, Donald Deniston. His talents and friendship will be missed by all who worked with him.
