Flex Rental Solutions Announces Release of Flex 4.9.0 and Upcoming Release of New iOS App

Flex Rental Solutions announces the release of Flex 4.9.0. This release includes multiple new features and enhancements, including recurring billing, warehouse bins functionality, a new virtually scan all in feature, the ability to turn off and on automatic availability calculations in quotes, cheat sheets, pricing tier minimums, support for A4 paper size printing for reports, a new pending returns tab, and other improvements. "We are constantly working to improve our product" CEO Chris Stein explained, "Flex is under active development by a team of dedicated engineers, and our web-based platform allows our users to immediately receive the benefits of our software releases without having to purchase or download any new hardware or software."

The user-friendly interface, new functionalities of enhanced crew scheduling, integration with Google calendar and Facebook events, functionality of providing alternatives and suggestions for unavailable inventory, and more, according to the company "position Flex as a leading provider of web-based rental and inventory management software for the unique needs of the live event industry." Flex is also undertaking a transition to HTML5 which the company says will be smooth for their customers both in ease of transition and cost-effectiveness, as the transition to HTML5 will be released through their standard Flex software updates release process.

At InfoComm 2014, Flex unveiled the company's new native iOS application for iPad and iPhone. This application allows for reviewing schedules and pull-sheets easily from the user's phone, and the camera on the device can be used for scanning in and out inventory in place of a scanner (or, the device can be paired with a bluetooth scanner if desired). This directly supports the needs of Flex's unique rental and production industry, and the company says it is looking forward to bringing the iOS application to market for their Flex users later this fall.
