Education Program at ENTECH Gathers Momentum with Further Speaker and Training Announcements. The Education Program at ENTECH INTECH 2011 is shaping up to be the best yet, the show reports. with the dual announcement of PLASA-sponsored international keynote speaker Chris Higgs and Australia's leading music and entertainment technology education and training provider, JMC Academy, confirming its participation this week. Higgs started work in the entertainment industry in 1973 and has since worked in most sectors, providing rigging and flying effects for drama, opera, and ballet in both subsidized and commercial theatre, for television and for concert touring throughout the '80s and 90's. In 1998, Higgs started Total Training at Total Fabrications Ltd, part of what is now the Total Solutions Group in the UK. He will be presenting two keynote sessions including "Working at Height" and participating in panel sessions at the show. Higgs said, "I am looking forward to discussing some of the hot industry topics with industry heavyweights in Australia. Entech is the show in Australia that facilitates this interaction, which is a great way to keep us all informed in this industry." In addition, JMC Academy confirmed that it will deliver three sessions on the program. For over 25 years, JMC Academy has led the way in music and entertainment education with groundbreaking accreditation, comprehensive higher education programs, industry-standard facilities, multi-campus locations and industry-respected teaching professionals.
